ich habe eine Cisco 3560 auf dem ich Probleme mit dem Flashspeicher habe.

booten will ich den Switch sehr ungerne, ich befürchte das er dann Nackt neustartet, da hängt aber ein Produktionslinie dran...

Hat jemand eine Idee was da los ist?

Mmmmhhh, worst case wäre das das Flash etwas abbekommen hat. Best Case das es sich aufgehängt hat.
Du musst aber keine Angst haben das der Switch nicht rebootet. Auch wenn das Flash corrupted ist kannst du über den rommon Bootloader immer wieder ein aktuelles Image booten und den Switch wieder Leben einhauchen.
Allerdings bedeutet das dann eine längere Ausfallzeit zum Recover. So oder so ist das angeraten. Spätestens beim nächsten kurzen Stromausfall holt dich das problem ganz schnell wieder ein.
Untersuchen musst du es deshalb schon....

dann hoffe ich mal auf den Best Case!
Der Switch steht 4000 Km weit weg beim Kunden.
Rebooten wird er, da ist mir klar, aber evtl. ohne IOS und ohne config...
Und dann ist das mit der Erreichbarkeit des Switches so ein Problem, der hängt an einem Trunk hinter einem 881.


Muss einfach abwarten was der Kunde in den nächsten Tagen sagt.

der Switch ist jetzt getauscht, Gerät liegt hier bei mir auf dem Tisch.

Die selben Symptome...

Allerdings startet der Switch ohne Probleme, nur anstatt der üblichen 2 minuten braucht er etwa 5 minuten.

Hast du mal ein "squeeze" auf dem Flash ausgeführt ?

Squeeze sollte aber ab Version 12.2(1) funktionieren.

Ich werde mal versuchen ob ich per tftp eine neuere IOS version auf den switch bekomme.

Hallo,

so ich habe den Switch wieder in Griff bekommen.
Im ROM mode habe ich den Flash neu initialisieren lassen dabei wurde ein paar defekte Sektoren ausgespart.
Danach konnte ich auch auf den Switch normal zu greifen.
Interessant war die logging_errors.txt. Die war auf 20.5 MB angewachsen

Die beinhaltete fast 140.000 Zeilen .
