So eben kommt eine Mail von Dyn.com mit der Mitteilung das die bisher kostenlosen Accounts in 30 Tagen nicht mehr kostenlos nutzbar sind.
Also an alle die noch Dyn.com Accounts haben => Umsteigen ....

For the last 15 years, all of us at Dyn have taken pride in offering you and millions of others a free version of our Dynamic DNS Pro product. What was originally a product built for a small group of users has blossomed into an exciting technology used around the world.
That is why with mixed emotions we are notifying you that in 30 days, we will be ending our free hostname program. This change in the business will allow us to invest in our customer support teams, Internet infrastructure, and platform security so that we can continue to strive to deliver an exceptional customer experience for our paying customers.

in meiner schon,
liegt wohl daran, daß ich seit Anfang an dabei bin, und denen vor laaaaanger Zeit mal 50$ gespendet hab.
So eine einmalige Spende fände ich ok, aber regelmäßig?
Was gibt es für Alternativen?

Ich bin seit kurzem bei TwoDNS. Läuft bisher zufriedenstellend. Vorher war ich auch bei DynDNS.

Habe gerade auch die Nachricht bekommen mit dem Angebot, mit 25% Rabatt auf das Produkt Remote Access
(formerly DynDNS Pro) zu wechseln. Da ich das bisher nur als Backup für meinen selbstgestrickten dyndns-verschnitt genommen habe tut das mir nicht ganz so weh.
Für mich gilt daher
Good buy und Danke für den Fisch.

Ich nutze schon seit mehr als 10 Jahren den Anbieter noip.com. Ein einfacher Dyn-DNS Account ist immer noch kostenfrei. Eine einfache Registrierung mit einer Emailadresse reicht aus. Der Dienst ist absolut zuverlässig, wie ich aus persönlicher Erfahrung versichern kann und viele aktuelle Router haben eine Unterstützung von Haus aus (getestet habe ich z.B. ddwrt und Speedport LTEII) eingebaut.

Werde mir mal die anderen anschauen, wie gut die sind.

Auf so manchen "Netgear" läuft DD-WRT, OpenWRT, Tomato,...--- so manche "Netgear" [aqui^^] können nur DynDns, --- weshalb dieser sehr berühmt wurde.
Da gibts dann mehr Auswahl als nur DynDns.
