Wsus Server installiert Internet Explorer 7 nicht.

Hallo,

wenn ich Per Wsus den Internet Explorer verteilen möchte, habe ich das foldende Problem.
Logge ich in einen Client als Adminstrator ein, dann wird mir die Installation sofort angeboten. Als Admin hat man ja immer diese Option.
Bei uns sind aber 800 User ohne Adminrechte. Also habe ich einen Useraccount zum testen genommen.
Der Download ist ja da für den Client , wird aber nicht installiert. Hänge noch unten das Windowsupdate.log an. Den letzten Teil davon.
Der Wsus ist auch konfiguriert, das er zu einer bestimmten Zeit (option 4 etc.....) das verteilt. Auf Client auch mit RSOP.msc geprüft etc....
Aber beim Internet Explorer 7 streikt die Verteilung.

hast du deinen Client keine Regel gegebnn das sie dazu keine Andminrechte brauchen wenn du was vom WSU installieren willst bzw verteilen.

Läuft doch alles nach Plan. Dort steht
Setting AU scheduled install time to 2009-01-24 12:00:00
Dann wird er installiert, egal, ob Admin oder nicht. Admins dürfen dem Zeitplan natürlich schon vorgreifen, User nicht (das ist Standard und meiner Ansicht nach vernünftig), siehe oliolis Hinweis.

Morgen ist ja der 24. ich dachte das bezieht sich schon auf die Tage vorher, also warten wir mal ab bis Montag,ob er nun installiert wird oder nicht.
Hatte auch ab un zu Probleme mit dem WSUS das er nicht alles installiert, vielleicht wurde auch das Update auf ie 7 unterbochen und lässt nun nicht mehr installieren. Hab da ein Supertool, der setzt das Datum auf 2006 zurück und insalliert dann neu, diese hilft super wenn die updates abgebrochen wurden und sie nicht mehr installieren lassen

Um den IE7 über WSUS zu verteilen, ist eine Gruppenrichtlinie nötig.

Hallo,

ja danek . Das ist seit 1 Woche bereits implementiert. Problem ist das der Setup nicht startet. Das muesste es auch ohne Policy. Dann loopt er halt wenn man Pech hat.
Aber das wurde gemacht.

Hallo,

es hat auch heute nicht verteilt. Habe aber nun das hier gefunden :
Du mußt wenn dann schon noch eine Benutzerrichtlinie aktivieren: Zugriff auf alle Windows Update Funktionen entfernen.
Damit werden die systemweiten Einträge auf Windows Update entfernt, z.B. im IE ist via das Menü Extras kein Eintrag zu Windows Update mehr vorhanden. Ebenfalls gibt es keine Benachrichtigung, also kein Symbol im Systray, für angemeldete Administratoren. Dies gilt natürlich nur für User, die auch im Verwaltungsbereich der Richtlinie liegen.

Habe daher nun in der IE7 Policy das mit reingenommen. Bin nun gespannt ob es geht.

OK, Du hättest nun mal monitoren sollen, was um 9:00 passiert ist ("Setting AU scheduled install time to 2009-01-27 09:00:00").
Den Zugriff auf alle Updatefunktionen abzuschalten ist jedenfalls keine Abhilfe.
Ist das nur beim IE7 so, oder hat er letztens noch andere Updates installiert?

Google mal ein bißchen (hast Du sicher schon, dennoch): http://www.mombu.com/microsoft/windows-server-update-services/t-au-foun ... sagt zum Beispiel: "The message "..found no suitable session to launch client in.." means that the person who is logged into the system (assuming there is a person logged in does not have authority to interact with the WUA User Interface." und "Essentially you would find out by reading the dozens of threads in this newsgroup over the past couple of months which have discussed that very issue. face-smile"
Sind zeitplangestützte Installationen wirklich an? Du schriebst:
Der Wsus ist auch konfiguriert, das er zu einer bestimmten Zeit (option 4 etc.....) das verteilt
Der braucht diese Einstellung ja nicht, die Clients brauchen sie.

Mein Tipp weiterhin: Monitore, was der scheduled install zur genannten Zeit versucht und natürlich dann auch das Logfile ansehen.
Hilft das nicht, weiter nach der Meldung googeln, Google hat viele Hits dazu.

Hallo,

ja Zeuitgestuetzte Installationen sind wirklich an. Patches werden ja verteilt, aber nuicht der IE7 Darum wunder mich , das kommt nu authority to act with the WUA User

habe in der Policy eben eingestellt. Notify "non Adminsitrators" etc.... aber Meldung kommt immer noch.
