Outlook 2003 Fehlermeldung 0x800CCC90 weiß einer was
Ich habe da ein Problem mit Outlook 2003. Ich bekomme die abgebildete Fehlermeldung
Bis jetzt konnte ich im Netz nur herausbekommen, daß die Meldung vom Mailserver an den Client gesendet wird. Warum und wieso konnte aber niemand sagen.
Weiß jemand von euch irgendwas drüber?

wenn Du nach "-ERR Scanner Error" suchst (steht ganz am Schluß der von Dir per Bild geposteten Meldung), dann findet man immer noch nicht viel, aber wenigstens das (leider auch ohne Lösung):

Es könnte - wenn ich es beim Überfliegen nicht falsch verstanden habe - mit einem SpamChecker o.ä. zu tun haben. Läuft auf dem Pop-server so etwas?

es ist nicht direkt ein "Artikel" sondern ein Forumsbeitrag - und wie gesagt bekommt der gute Mann dort auch keine rundum-glücklich-Lösung. Aber vielleicht hilft es Dir ja doch irgendwie:

Hi,
sometimes the pop3 proxy stops working, or the scanner, i don't know.
Igetmail (my mail fetcher) gives me from one minute to the other the follwoing error message:
>>> 19.05.2004 12:06:44 error ERROR - Cannot connect to server customerserver.net, possible incorrect IP address or server not responding.
Then I have tried to restart the dns-proxy, the pop-proxy, the virus-scanner and the spam-protection.
After i did restart the pop-proxy i get the follwoing error:
>>> 19.05.2004 15:59:21 POP3>> RETR 1
19.05.2004 15:59:22 <<POP3 -ERR scanner error : Scanner Error
19.05.2004 15:59:22 POP3 ERROR - POP3 Server refused request to retrieve mail message
19.05.2004 15:59:22 POP3>> QUIT
Then I disabled the spam-protection and the mail fetching worked again.
I had this problem two times the last week and this week for the first time.
I have searched the logfiles, but found nothing usefull. Where do you thing should I look?

I'm having a very similar problem here with 5.009. We only noticed this problem within the last couple of weeks so we are assuming that a recent update is causing the issue.
When using the Thunderbird 0.6 mail client the following error appears on some occasions:
The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server blahblah.com responded: scanner error: Scanner error.
Please, anyone with any ideas? These intermittant errors are quite annoying.

STF this is one of many issues with the pop3 proxy..you can reboot and wait for it to have issues or turn it off until an up2date is released for it. TIM
