S3 ProSavageDDR geeignet für 24 zoll TFT?

Hallo

Habe mir einen neuen 24 Zoll Monitor gekauft und habe diesen an den PC angeschlossen, leider kann ich nicht die richtige Auflösung einstellung und somit ist das Bild unscharf und verzerrt.
Ich habe die Befürchtung das die Graka die ich benutze (S3 ProSavage DDR) keine TFT´s bzw nicht eine solche Auflösung unterstützt.

Jetzt hoffe ich das Ihr mir weiterhelfen könnt. Ist es so wie ich vermute oder liegt das an einem anderen Problem.

Den neusten Grafikkartentreiber habe ich bereits installiert. Ist die Version 13.94.33. ODer gibt es noch ne neuere Version.

Bitte helft mir.

Das selbe Problem hatte ich auch schon, da war dieser Grafikchip als onBoard Chip verbaut war. Konnte max. 1280x1024 oder so. Board hatte zum Glück einen freien AGP-Slot wo ich dann irgend eine billige Grafikkarte reingesteckt habe.

Manchmal hilft es auch das INF-File zu patchen (d.h. einfach die fehlende Auflösung da reinzuschreiben) aber nur dann wenn die GPU die Auflösung auch wirklich kann. Von daher ist es eine "Try-Lösung" ohne Garantie auf Funktion. Ich habe es aber so schon mehrmals hinbekommen. Damit das aber überhaupt funktioniert, musst Du den Treiber nach dem Patchen nochmals neu installieren, die bereits installierte INF-Datei zu patchen funktioniert meiner Erfahrung nach nicht!

Also so vorgehen:
Treiber deinstallieren, dann das Downloadarchiv des Treibers auspacken, die INF-Datei suchen und patchen, dann den PC neustarten, danach Treiber neu installieren und wieder neustarten. Dann ist viel Hoffnung und Zuversicht angesagt. Klappt das so nicht, hast Du die A-Karte und musst tun was der Jedi sagt aber dann ist wenigstens die Macht mit Dir.

Im Treiberarchiv, das musst Du mit einem Packer auspacken. Hast Du noch nie einen Treiber manuell, also ohne Setup installiert? Dann ist das nämlich nicht so einfach!

Das hängt von Dir ab.

Wenn Du noch nie einen Treiber manuell installiert hast, dann solltest Du besser einen Kumpel mit mehr Erfahrung um Hilfe bitten, sonst klappt das nicht und wie oben schon gesagt, ist es eine Versuchslösung, denn wenn die GPU die Auflösung tatsächlich nicht kann, dann wird es nicht klappen.
