RAM, Arbeitsspeicher von 2 GB auf 4 GB erweitern, Medion Notebook 98100

Hallo,

ich habe folgendes Problem.

Mein Notebook Medion 98100 vom 31.01.2007 wollte ich von 1 x 2 GB auf 2 x 2 GB aufstocken.

Nach dem Einbau des zweiten Riegels und starten des NBs bleibt der Bildschirm schwarz.

Hab dann den 2ten Arbeitsspeicher wieder ausgebaut und siehe da, das NB startet wieder.

RAM: 2GB GEIL DDR2 SO-DIMM PC2 5300 667 MHz (beide Riegel).

Nachdem ich den misserablen Service von Medion am 13.10.2009 angeschrieben habe und bis heute noch keine Antwort bekommen habe (die Garantie ist ja auch abgelaufen), wende ich mich mal hier im Forum an die Profis.

Ich habe mit CPU-Z mal ein Abbild von meinem Rechner gemacht:
(Quelltext anzeigen lassen --> alles makieren, in Textpad kopieren und als *.htm abspeichern --> mit Browser öffnen)
Wusste leider nicht wie es anders anzuzeigen geht.

Nachdem ich auch mal ein wenig im Internet nach dem Problem gesurft habe, habe ich auch gelesen, dass mein NB keine 4 GB unterstützt.

Meine Fragen:

Ist es wirklich so, dass es Notebooks gibt, auch meins, die keine 4 GB unterstützen?

Wenn ja, gibt es irgendeine Lösung, damit ich auf 4 GB aufrüsten kann?

Ich möchte kein neues NB kaufen.

mehr iss nicht - das ist dann nicht verdrahtet ...

Tja Irgendwo muss Medion ja sparen - beim Support.

Wenn du bei Medion nichts findest schau mal bei MSI.

Hi, das Bios kann nicht mehr als 2 Gig addressieren. Das was wohl helfen würde wäre ein neues Bios.
Aber... das Bios kommt von Insyde Software und die haben folgenden Hinweis auf Ihrer Homepage :

Wenn Medion sich also nicht um ein neues Bios bemüht und sonst niemand das Mainboard so toll findet das er ein neues dafür stricken wollte, dann isses wohl Nix mit dem Upgrade.
Scheint so als müsste ich mich dann ebenfalls mit 2 Gig bescheiden.... schade...
Aber man kann ja noch 'ne schnellere Platte verwenden mit mehr Cache, das hilft ja auch ein wenig.

auch wenn der Beitrag schon deutlich älter ist, vielleicht hilft es ja mal einen ... der Chipsatz kann 4GB, es könnte also sein,daß es an dem verbauten Prozessor liegt.
Das ist bloß ein 32Bit-Modell. Wenn man den tauschen würde gegen einen passenden 64bit-fähigen, dann dürften auch 4GB kein Problem sein.
