Problems to connect a second mailbox via IMAP
can add second mailbox to user but cannot logon to it.
If you need it in german, please tell me.
I have migrated my exch2003 server to exch2007 server.
Most of the user are working.
But I have a big problem when I want to connect a second mailbox to a user.
In exch2003 it was no problem. I added a second mailbox and used the imap protocol.
And then I was able to choose between 2 mailboxes.
In exch2007 it is not possible.
I also added a second mailbox via IMAP but it still cannot connect to the second mailbox.
This is urgent for me.
What is the problem with IMAP in exch2007 ? The services are started.
But cannot connect.

If the service is not started you cant connect to nothing so please ask a little bit more demanding

an den Service habe ich als erstes gedacht . Der ist gestartet.
Aber wir haben das Problem selber lösen können.
Das problem sind die IMAP Settings in EXCH2007.
Dort ist der LOGONTYPE standardmäßig auf SECURE gesetzt.
Wir haben das auf PLAINTEXTAUTH umgestellt.
Das muß im Powershell gemacht werden.
Nach dem Reboot des EXCH2007 hat alles funktioniert.
Das ticket ist somit gelöst.
Trotzdem bleibt eine Frage, warum funktioniert es nicht mit SECURELOGON ?
Und was ist anders bei PLAINTEXTAUTHENTICATION ?
