XServer Tod?
Hallo ihr LinuxGötter,
bin absoluter Linux Dau und hab mir mal so ein RedHat 9 installiert (standardinstallation).
Und weil alles so prima gelaufen ist bin ich übermütig geworden und hab mit der Bildschirmauflösung rumgespielt. Beim nächsten Reboot kam eine Meldung das der XServer nicht gestartet werden konnte und nochmal versuchen.
Seit dem flimmert der Bildschirm immer ganz schnell zischen Schwarz und Konsolenanmeldung hin und her so das ich mich nicht mehr anmelden kann.
Hab mich dann via Putty (SSH) auf die Kiste eingeloggt und möchte nun meinen Fehler über Konsole wieder beheben, aber wie ???
Hab mal in der /etc/X11/X86Config rumgesucht aber bin zu unerfahren um irgendeinen Fehler zu erkennen.

beende erstmal den xserver, wie das unter redhat genau funktioniert kann ich jetzt nicht sagen, da ich noch net redhat im einsatz hatte. aber theo müsste ads run-script unter /etc/init.d/ liegen wo du mit ./befehl stop den dienst anhälst evtl. müsste er kdm oder xdm lauten. also demnach /etc/xdm stop dann mit dem sax2 nochmal starten auf der konsole an dem pc, wo redhat läuft, also nicht über putty, wenns sax2 unter redhat net gibt möge man mich entschuldigen *gg*

kann leider nur über putty auf die Maschine zugreifen da der Bildschirm ständig sehr schnell zwischen Konsole und schwarzem Bildschirm wechselt.

Bin jetzt doch Lokal an der Maschine mit Konsole reingekommen !!!
