Problem mit BESNMP.TRC("SQL Profiler - trace data file") - Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 am Small Business Server 2003
Die Datei BESNMP.TRC wächst sehr schnell!!! Hilfe!
Hallo!
Auf dem Small Business Server 2003 wächst sehr schnell eine Datei <<BESNMP.TRC>> im Verzeichniss: C:\WINNT\system32. In der Bezeichnung/Typ ist sie als "SQL Profiler - trace data file" beschrieben.
Was ist das für eine Datei und wie kann man diese Datei stoppen???
Da ich bis jetzt keine andere Lösung fand, habe ich die Datei immer gelöscht -- ABER! die baut sich dann wieder auf. Ist natürlich keine Dauerlösung!!!
Ich bitte um Hilfe.

Das ist für die SNMP Traps von BEWS. Verwendet ihr diese? Wenn nicht, dann check mal dies: "Tools / Notification setup / SNMP Tab und entferne das Häkchen bei "send backup exec traps".

das Häkchen war die ganze Zeit weg. Trotz der deaktivierten Funktion bleibt die Datei aktiv und wächst ziemlich schnell. Hast du evtl. eine andere Idee?

Hi,
ich kann Dir leider nicht viel weiterhelfen, wäre wohl ein Fall für Veritas.
Du kannst natürlich die Rechte auf die Datei einschränken (Besitzübernahme, entfernen der Rechte für alle, etc.), möglicherweise vergrößert sich die Datei dann nicht mehr und Du bekommst evt. eine Fehlermeldung von BackupExec, mit der man was anfangen kann.

To ensure that the BESNMP.TRC does not grow to a large size, causing space constraints on the hard disk, it is required for Backup Exec to be unregistered from SNMP.
To unregister Backup Exec entries with SNMP, perform the following registry changes:
1) Run REGEDIT.
2) Under the following registry key:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Currentcontrolset\Services\SNMP\Parameters\Extensionagents"
3) From the right-hand panel, delete the following keys:
"Software\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Snmp Events"
"Software\VERITAS\Backup Exec\TapeAlerts"
Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.
