NAT Adress Mapping

Ich verstehe den Menüpunkt in meinem SMC 700FW Router nicht ganz.
Kann mir jemand erklären was dort genau festgelegt wird?


Über das Webinterface erreiche ich folgenden [Menüpunkt]:


"NAT" - "Address Mapping"


Description:
Network Address Translation (NAT) allows IP addresses used in a private local network to be mapped to one or more addresses used in the public, global Internet. This feature limits the number of public IP addresses required from the ISP and also maintains the privacy and security of the local network. We allow one or more than one public IP address to be mapped to a pool of local addresses.


Address Mapping

1. Global IP: _ _ _ . _ _ _ . _ _ _ . _ _ _ is transformed as multiple virtual IPs
from "10.145.16. _ _ _" to "10.145.16. _ _ _"

2. Global IP: _ _ _ . _ _ _ . _ _ _ . _ _ _ is transformed as multiple virtual IPs

zur Info:
Router hat 10.145.16.2
das Netzwerk hat 10.145.16.0 mask 255.255.252.0


Klar kann ich Englisch und die Beschreibung kann ich auch Übersetzen.
Aber im Endeffekt kapier ich trotzdem nicht was dort genau gemacht wird.

Zumal ich ja die Standard NAT einstellungen über Virtual Server bzw Special Applications einstellen kann (was ich auch verstehe)
z.B. Private IP + Privaten Port - Protokoll - an Öffentlichen Port

und mit Special Apps das Standard Port-Triggering.
z.B: TriggerPort, Protokoll - PublicPort, Protokoll

Wie gesagt es geht um das Adress Mapping - welches ich nicht verstehe.
