Apache und CGI

Hallo, bin zum 1. mal hier. Ich komme mit Apache nicht weiter und hoffe auf Hilfe.
Das Problem: der Server (Lokal) führt Perl-scripts im cgi-bin einwandfrei aus, ich möchte aber auch *.exe Dateien ausführen. Diese bietet er aber zum Download an! Ich denke, das ist ein Konfigurationsproblem. Wer kann mir weiterhelfen?
