ArcServ 11.1 - Bekomme den MS Exchange Agenten nicht konfiguriert
Hallo,
ich versuche auf dem Windows 2000 Server, auf dem Exchange 2003 läuft den Backup Agenten für Microsoft Exchange (ArcServ 11.1) zu konfigurieren. Aber ich habe ein exchtes Problem mit der Konfiguration.
Erst mal zur Infrastruktur:
DC - Windows 2000 Server
Exchange - Mitgliedsserver der Domäne
Auf dem DC ist ArcServ 11.1 installiert. Auf dem Exchange-Server der Fileagent und der Exchange Agent.
Ich gehe nun über die Exchange Agent Konfiguration und lasse auch den Haken bei der Brick Level Konfiguration an, weil ich auf Postfachebene zugreifen will. Bei einem Klick auf Weiter komme ich nun auf die nächste Seite auf der ich Kontendaten eingeben muss. Wenn ich ein neues Konto anlege
Z.B.

<Domäne>
Neues Konto anlegen anhake und auf Weiter klicke, dann fragt er mich, ob er den User mit den Rechten anlegen soll und wenn ich dann ja sage, bekomme ich im Logfile das folgende:

1) Create new user - successful.
2) User mailbox creation - successful.
3) Add user privilege to act as part of the operating system - successful.
4) Add user privilege to log on as a service - successful.
5) Add user privilege to log on locally - successful.
6) Add user to Administrators Group - successful.
7) Add user to Backup Operators Group - successful.
8) Add user to Domain Admins Group - successful.
Note: The user appears to be created successfully, but might not be finalized yet.
If you are unable to configure/verify the Exchange agent this may be due to one of the following reasons:
1) The AD might not have propagated the newly created user.
2) The RUS service might not be updated.
3) Log on to the machine as the newly created user and try to re-configure the agent from within that new account.
To force the AD to allow the new user to be active immediately:
On a Domain Controller select - Start->Program Files->Administrative Tools->AD Sites and Services.
Within the AD Sites and Services - Expand the tree in the left panel and all of the servers in your organization
and force the AD to update by right clicking and selecting update now on all of the objects in these containers.
To force the Recipient Update Services to allow the new user to log on immediately:
Go to Start->Programs->Microsoft Exchange->System Manager,
then drill down the tree on the left Organization->Recipients->Recipient Update Service,
then right click the listed RUS's in the right side of the window and select Update Now,
then this user will be allowed to authenticate successfully.
Note: Even if these steps are all completed you may still have to wait (0-90 minutes) for Windows to finalize the user.

und ich komme wieder auf die Seite zurück, auf der ich die Userdaten eingebe. Aber auch wenn ich es nach einem halten Tag noch einmal versuche, gibt es die gleiche Meldung.
Wenn ich den Haken bei "Neues Konto erstellen" weglasse, gibt es jedes mal die Fehlermeldung
Authentifizierung des Kontos DOMAIN\dbagent fehlgeschlagen.
Wie bekomme ich den Backup-Agenten dazu, mit mir zu kooperieren?

um deine Zeit und damit das Geld deines Chefs zu sparen wäre es evtl. angebracht mal beim Support des Herstellers nachzufragen.
Kostet vielleicht Geld, aber sicher weniger als tagelange Versuche.

Hi,
wenn wiedererwarten jemand mal das gleiche Problem haben sollte.
Man muss sich mit dem User am Exchange Server anmelden, den man für den ArcServ Exchange Agent verwenden möchte. Wenn man dann die Exchange Agent Konfiguration ausführt, dann klappt es auch mit der Konfiguration. Das heisst, ein Anmelden als Administrator geht nicht. Auch dann nicht, wenn man den Administrator Account für den ExchangeAgenten verwenden will. Am besten also einen User dbagent anlegen, diesem die entsprechenden Rechte geben, dann damit am Exchange Server anmelden und die Agenten Konfiguration durchgehen.

Man muss sich mit dem User am Exchange Server anmelden, den man für den ArcServ Exchange Agent verwenden möchte. Wenn man dann die Exchange Agent Konfiguration ausführt, dann klappt es auch mit der Konfiguration. Das heisst, ein Anmelden als Administrator geht nicht. Auch dann nicht, wenn man den Administrator Account für den ExchangeAgenten verwenden will. Am besten also einen User dbagent anlegen, diesem die entsprechenden Rechte geben, dann damit am Exchange Server anmelden und die Agenten Konfiguration durchgehen.
