ATA II HDD auf Board mit ATA I möglich?
Hallo, ich bin neu hier und viel. kann mir ja jemand weiterhelfen.
Ich habe mir eine Western Digital 500GB HDD zugelegt, und nun sehe ich das es eine ATA II ist. Mein Motherboard unterstützt nur ATA I, die HDD wird zwar im Bios erkannt aber im Arbeitsplatz von XP wird nicht sichbar.
Was nun?

Hallo,
im Bios ist sie also sichtbar...hast Du schon eine Partition eingerichtet? Ohne siehst Du sie unter Arbeitsplatz nicht! So gehts (was Mr. Hanky meinte):
Systemsteuerung->Verwaltung->Computerverwaltung->Datenträgerverwaltung
Dort musst Du eine Primäre Partition auf der Platte erstellen und formatieren.
