Firefox im Kiosk-Modus

Hallo,

ich habe folgende Konstellation.
Ich betreibe ein Windows 8-System, auf dem Firefox autmatisch im Vollbild gestartet wird.
Soweit funktioniert alles. Jedoch muss Firefox immer als "aktives" Programm laufen, um auf
Tastendruck etwas abzuarbeiten.
Wenn im Hintergrund aber Meldungen kommen, verliert Firefox den "Fokus" und ist nicht mehr
das aktive Programm.
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dass Firefox immer aktiv ist?

ab windows 8.1 gäbe es die möglichkeit des "assigned access". also ein kiosk-modus für windows selbst. allerdings lassen sich da nur store-apps ausführen, soweit ich das gelesen habe. außerdem wird firefox für windows 8 nicht als store-app nicht mehr weiterentwickelt.

windows 10 enthält natürlich auch diese möglichkeit. evtl. gibt es hier die möglichkeit firefox als normales programm laufen zu lassen.

ein update auf win10 kommt nicht in frage?

Hmm, ich wollte eigentlich kein Update durchführen.
Würde dann in diesem assigned access Firefox immer aktiv sein?

für W7 gab/gibt es das Tool FrontFace Lockdown Tool, google mal danach, vielleicht hilft's.

Ich hatte mich mal damit beschäftigt, bis wir das Infoterminal komplett abgeschafft und durch ein LFD ersetzt haben, dass keine Eingaben verwaltet.

du könntest Firefox direkt als Shell eintragen:

STEP 4.a. If you want to set the customized shell to currently logged in user only which is also recommended, go to following key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

4.b. Under "Policies" key look for another key named "System". If its not present, create it manually.  

4.c. Now select "System" key and in right-side pane, create a new String value Shell and set its value to the full path of your desired program. For example, if you modified Explorer.exe file and saved it somewhere else such as E:\MyExplorer.exe, then set value to E:\MyExplorer.exe. If you want to set a 3rd party program as default shell, set the value to the full path of that program's EXE file.

Damit läuft dann nur Firefox, weitere Benachrichtigungen sollten nicht auftauchen.

hab mit dem assigned access noch nicht rumgespielt, aber kann das später auf meinem win10-tablet gern mal durchspielen und testen. face-wink

schade... microsoft will wohl immer noch nur store-apps im assigned access haben... sehr unbefriedigend... face-sad
