GPO von einer Domäne extrahieren / backup erstellen und in eine andere Domäne einfügen.
Export und Import eines GPO. Windows 2003 Server SP1
Hallo Admins,
Ich habe den Desktop auf einem Windows 2003 SP1 TS Server für die User eingeschränkt
(z.B. weniger knöpfe im Startmenu). In Zukunft muss ich das gleiche GPO auf anderen Terminal Servern anwenden. Leider sind die Einstellungen sehr umfangreich.
Mein Ziel ist es die, von mir erstellte, GPO "Desktop" von einer AD zu extrahieren und in einer anderen AD zu importieren. Wie kann ich das erreichen? Habe mir bereits die GPO Management Console instiller. Eine backup und export Funktion ist hier zwar vorhanden, allerdings gelingt es mir nicht die exportierten Daten auf der neuen AD zu importieren.

du musst es auch in der GPO Managment Console machen.
Sobald du ein Backup gemacht hast, musst du eine neue leere GP erstellen oder in einer bestehenden import Settings auswählen. Gehe dafür aber in Group Policy Objects.

Danke! Import war die Option die ich gesucht habe.
Ich hatte die Option schon vorher gefunden allerdings war mir nicht bewusst das ich
erst ein Backup machen muss, bevor ich etwas importieren kann. Diese Option ist aber eigentlich nachvollziehbar und gut!
Import Operation
Settings can be imported from any backed up GPO. The import process overwrites existing policy settings on the target GPO. Before the import operation, make sure to backup the GPO so you have a restore point in case it is needed.
1. Within the Group Policy Objects node, select the target GPO. You can create a new GPO if you want to import settings to a new GPO.
2. Right-click on the selected GPO and choose Import Settings...
3. Click Next on the Import Settings wizard.
4. If there are existing settings in the Target GPO, you will be prompted to backup the GPO first before proceeding. Click on the Backup... button to create a backup copy. Otherwise, click Next.
5. Specify the path for the backup directory of the source GPO and click Next.
6. From the list of backed up GPOs, select the correct source GPO and click Next.
7. Click Next to continue import.
8. Click Finish when ready.
9. Click OK when the import operation is complete.
