ODBC Verbindung von Excel zu Oracle Database

Es geht um eine Verbindung um Excel-Daten über Access, ODBC und Oracle Client in eine Oracle Database zu bringen.

Hallo,

ich möchte von Windows aus eine Verbindung zu einer Oracle-Datenbank herstellen, welche auf einem Linux Server läuft und bräuchte an ein paar Stellen Hilfe. Der generelle Weg scheint so zu sein:
Excel -> Access -> ODBC -> Oracle Client -> ... -> Oracle Server

Jetzt habe ich den Oracle Client heruntergeladen und stehe vor der Frage, welche Version zu installieren ist für meine Zwecke?

Instant Client: Installs only the shared libraries required by Oracle Call Interface applications that use the Instant Client feature. This installation type requires much less disk space than the other Oracle Database Client installation types.

The advantage of using Instant Client Light is that it has a much smaller footprint than regular Instant Client. Hence, your applications use less memory.

Mindestens Runtime, da ich eine Application (Access) mit Oracle verbinden möchte, oder? Wie sieht es mit der Vergabe von Rechten aus? Hinweis: Es handelt sich um eine Oracle-Datenbank, welche als Basis für ein ERP-System dient und ich muss eine Art Massendatenpflege durchführen. Ich gehe erstmal nicht davon aus, dass ich auf die Datenbanken und Tabellen Schreibzugriff habe, oder? Müsste unser Systemadministrator ggfs. die Administrator-Version von Oracle Database Client installieren und mir die entsprechenden Schreibrechte geben?

Die weiteren Schritte wären dann Access und ODBC zu verbinden sowie eine intelligente Verknüpfung von Excel zu Access zu finden, aber ich denke das sind spätere Schritte, welche ich erstmal zurückstellen würde.
