Raid 50 - 3 oder 4 Platten pro Raid5?
Ich bin da etwas unsicher, was die Raidlevel angeht
Hallo,
Ich habe einen neuen VMWare Server mit 12x600 GB SAS 15k 6GBit. Der Dell System Configurator hat automatisch offenbar die Variante RAID 50 = 3x600GB x 4 Arrays im RAID 0 = 7200 GB - 2400 GB = 4800 GB netto Kapazität.
Was ist aber, wenn ich als Konfig Raid 50 = 4x600 GB x 3 Arrays im RAID 0 = 7200 GB - 1800 GB = 5400 GB netto Kapazität nehmen würde?
Wie verhält sich das von der Performance insgesamt im Normalbetrieb?
