robocopy langsamer als xcopy über SMB-Shares
Guten Abend
Ich benutze robocopy um wöchentlich Daten auf einen Windows 2003 Server zu spiegeln.
Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, dass robocopy deutlich langsamer kopiert als z.b. xcopy oder CTRL+C/V über Explorer-Fenster.
Bei einem Client (Gigabit-Adapter) ist robocopy etwa 4 mal langsamer als xcopy.
xcopy kommt auf ~50% Netzwerkauslastung.
robocopy kommt auf ~12%.
(Getestet mit einer möglichst grossen Datei, damit die Bandbreite auch voll ausgenutzt wird.)
Bei einer 100Mbit-Karte liegt der Faktor bei 2. (82% zu 43%)
Alle Clients laufen mit Win XP SP2, neuste Updates.
Bei einer Übertragung zwischen den Clients tritt das gleiche Problem auf.
