Windows Server 2008 Problem Das Snap-In konnte nicht erstellt werden

Hi, ich habe ein Problem mit Windows Server 2008 und komme leider nicht weiter.

Wenn ich den Server Manager starte, erscheint eine Fehlermeldung: Das Snap-In konnte nicht erstellt werden. Es wurde eventuell nicht richtig installiert.
Dabei hat alles noch vor wenigen Tagen einwandfrei funktioniert. Ich weiß auch nicht, was zwischendurch passiert ist und warum jetzt eine Fehlermeldung erscheint.
Auch die Ereignisanzeige funktioniert nicht mehr und zeigt diese Fehlermeldung.
Ich habe das System neu aufgesetzt (als Upgrade mit Beibehalten aller Einstellungen) hat aber nichts gebracht.
Weiß einer eine Lösung?

Hatte das gleiche Problem bei einem unserer W2008 Server.
Ursache: Ausgelöst wurde es bei uns durch das Update KB2416473 (.Net Framework 3.5)
Durch diese Update ist folgende Datei korrupt geworden:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config

Ich habe die Datei "machine.config" dann von einem anderen Server (bei dem das Update funktioniert hatte) kopiert und die lokale Datei überschrieben. Danach war der Fehler weg.

Ist übrigens eine Anleitung von Microsoft gewesen.
PS: Der Fehler hat zusätzlich auswirkungen auf die MSQL Management Console. Die kann sich dann nicht mehr auf den lokalen Server verbinden. Das aber nur am Rande.

Hoffe ich konnte Dir damit etwas helfen.

Vielen Dank für den Tipp, leider habe ich gerade keinen zweiten Server zu Hand um die Datei zu kopieren.
Ich denke auch, dass es nur eine kleine config-Datei sein kann. Ich kann den Server ja zur Zeit noch weiter benutzen.
Nur in wichtige Einstellungen komme ich zur Zeit nicht rein. Ich möchte das System nicht komplett neu aufsetzen und das mit der Datei ausprobieren. Gibt es einen Download?

Bei Microsoft ist mir mal nichts bekannt. Am einfachsten ist es eine Gleiche Maschine als VM-Ware Server aufzusetzen (Sprache, Version ect. die Gleiche) mach alle Updates und schau dass die MMC geht und dann einfach die Datei kopieren und die Virtuelle Maschine wieder wegschmeisen. So machen wir das auch wenn wir die gleiche Version gerade nicht zur Hand haben.

Ok, dies werde ich dann mal genauso machen.
So kann ich wenigstens Zeit einsparen, als alles neu aufzuspielen.
Dies ist gerade wichtig für Server, die ständig gebraucht werden.

Ja Ja die virtualisierung hat schon so seine vorteile. Mittlerweile bekommt man sogar wieder von Microsoft Support auch wenn man VM-Ware ESX Server einsetzt.

Hallo,

ich habe das gleiche Problem, leider kann ich weder auf ein zweites System zurückgreifen, noch es irgendwo neuinstallieren. ( ist ein gemieteter Root Server.)

Kann mir jemand die nötigen Dateien zukommen lassen?

Ich habe einen Windows WebServer 2008 x64 auf Deutsch. Ich suche schon Tage nach einer Lösung um mein System wieder zum Laufen zu bekommen.

Ich hoffe mir kann jemand helfen.

P.S. Die oben genannte Datei sieht bei mir aber überhaupt nicht defekt aus. Ich kann sie anschauen und sie hat meiner Meinung nach keine auffälligen Fehler drin.

Ich hatte heute auf einem von vier neu aufgesetzten vServern genau das gleiche Problem. Dabei hatte ich nichts weiter gemacht, als die Server per WSUS mit Updates zu betanken. Jedenfalls bin ich bei der Suche nach einer Lösung über diesen Thread gestolpert. Und weil der ja noch einigermaßen aktuell ist poste ich kurzerhand den Inhalt des Files (ist von einem x86-System):

Hi, 4 Wochen sind schon vergangen, ich bin aber aus zeitlichen Gründen noch zu nichts gekommen. Einen zweiten Server habe noch nicht so weit, damit ich was kopieren kann.
Ich kann mit den o.g. Zeilen auch nichts anfangen. Soll es eine Vereinfachung darstellen?

Wie, du kannst damit nichts anfangen? Das ist der Inhalt der angesprochenen machine.config auf einem funktionierenden 2008-x86.

Ich habe mich mittlerweile nicht weiter zu helfen gewusst und habe das System komplett neuaufgesetzt. face-sad Letzte Nacht habe ich nochmals versucht die Updates runterzuladen (zumindest die nicht das Framework betreffen, aber diese sind wieder fehl geschlagen. Ich hoffe das nach dem Neustart der Server Manager noch läuft. face-smile

Hi Leute,
ich habe die in meinem System korrupt gewordene Datei:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config
mit dem oben genannten Thread von manuel-r überschrieben.

und Ja! - Jetzt ist alles wieder in Ordnung. In meiner Datei fehlten einige Zeilen.
Auch fremde Programme laufen wieder.
Vielen lieben Dank, das war die Lösung des Problems.

Bei mir haben die ganzen anderen Tipps wie z.B. irgendwelche Reparaturen oder Dateien von "gesunden" Systemn rüberkopieren nicht geholfen.

Was im Endeffekt geholfen hat, war einfach ".net Framework 3.5 SP1" zu deinstallieren. Mal schauen, ob die Kisten damit leben könne, oder ob das wieder zu Nebenwirkungen führt.

Update-1: Ach ja, die betroffenen 2 Systeme hatten W2K8 64bit SP2 drauf.

Update2: Nachdem ich .net 4.0 draufinstalliert habe und anschließend die Updates incl. .net 3.5 SP1 ging alles wieder wunderbar.

Well, I did a google search about it and found some technet forum posts about it, they were telling mostly about .NET Framework beta install issues. I tried to fully update server, remove .NET Framework 4.0 and older versions. You can find more information about .NET Framework Clean-up Tool here which can be used to uninstall older versions of .NET framework.

Those did not solved the problem, I kept seeing the error after every restart. Also I tried to uninstall IIS and .NET Framework from powershell since I could not access to Server Manager. All ended up with another error.

Finally, I found another blog offering to rename .NET 2 config files in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\CONFIG. Files were machine.config and machine.config.default.

Rename machine.config to machine.config.old for backing up it.
Rename machine.config.default to machine.config

I could not believe it was all that much simple, no need to restart or anything else. Server manager started to work, also IIS Manager too. To be cautious I installed latest updates again and rebooted server.

Das einzige was ich hierbei noch anmerken möchte ist dass die .default NICHT einfach umbenannt werden sondern zunächst kopiert und lediglich die kopie umbenannt werden sollte. aber das sollte eigentlich jedem it mensch bekannt sein.
