Apache2 Childprozess antwortet nicht wenn dieser neugestartet werden soll - volle CPU last

Es handelt sich um ein Windows XP Professional SP3 auf dem ich XAMPP installiert habe. Der Rechner arbeitet eine Aufgabenliste ab (Der Apache2 / mysqld ist also dauerhaft unter Last).
Seit kurzem hängt er sich jedoch auf.

Der Errorlog zeigt das Problem ganz gut, aber leider nicht die Ursache.
MaxRequestsPerChild ist 100.
Ich habe testweise mal MaxRequestsPerChild 0 gesetzt, was aber lediglich dazu führt, das der Restartgrund wegfällt. Ansonsten bleibt das grundsätzliche Problem der vollen CPU Auslastung bestehen.

Ich würde gern mehr Informationen bereitstellen, allerdings hab ich nicht die geringste Ahnung in welche Richtung ich suchen muss.
