SBS 2008 umbenennen
Hallo, beim SBS 2003 konnte nach Installation der Servername nicht mehr geändert werden. Ich glaube, gelesen zu haben, dass dies seit 2008 geht.
Hallo,
bei der Migration von SBS 2003 auf SBS 2008 müssen logischerweise verschiedene Servernamen, IP etc. verwendet werden. Die Umgebung ist gut struktuiert und es gibt noch andere Server. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, den neuen SBS 2008 umzubenennen. Wäre zwar kein Drama, aber würde sich in der Umgebung gut machen, um die Einheitlichkeit wieder herzustellen.
Danke für alle Tipps im voraus.

Nein, das ist nicht möglich (supportet). Das ging auch nicht bei SBS 2003 obwohl es immer wieder versucht wurde.

" Once the migration is complete, can I rename the destination server to use the same name as the source server?"
No. Windows Small Business Server is a domain controller and once joined to the domain it cannot be renamed. If you want to use the same server name on your network, you can migrate once to Windows Small Business Server 2008 running in a virtual machine, and then migrate from the virtual machine to the original hardware (or new hardware) using the original server name.

das heißt also ich kann eine Immigration in einer Virtualiesierung machen mit anderen server namen und wenn ich den auf die Hardware immigriere nehme ich den alten Namen ??
