WSUS Event IDs 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 und 2012 R2

Hallo liebe Administrator.de-Gemeinschaft,

um ein Monitoring für WSUS zu erstellen und analog zu SCCM zu überwachen, muss ich irgendwie herausfinden, ob die Event-IDs der unterschiedlichen WSUS-Versionen alle gleich sind, oder ob es Unterschiede gibt. Im Netz hab ich dazu nicht viel gefunden. Durch meine Tests konnte ich allerdings schon einige Events generieren:


WSUS 3.0 2012 R2 (6.3.9600.18228):

Event ID 364 (Error):
Content file download failed.
Reason: There is not enough space on the disk.

Event ID 502 (Information):
Update Services Service Has Stopped

Event ID 501 (Information):
Update Services Service Started

Event ID 7032 (Warning):
The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server via the remote API.
Verify that the Update Services service, IIS and SQL are running on the server. If the problem persists, try restarting IIS, SQL, and the Update Services Service.
System.Net.WebException -- The operation has timed out

Event ID 7042 (Warning)
The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server Database.
Verify that SQL server is running on the WSUS Server. If the problem persists, try restarting SQL.

Event ID 1000 (Information):
WSUS is working correctly.

Event ID 10012 (Error):
The permissions on directory %Path% WsusContent are incorrect.

Event ID 10020 (Information):
Catalog synchronization is working correctly.

Event ID 10021 (Warning):
The catalog was last synchronized successfully 1 or more days ago.

Event ID 10022 (Error):
The last catalog synchronization attempt was unsuccessful.

Event ID 10032 (Error):
The server is failing to download some updates.

Event ID 10042 (Error):
There is less than 200 MB of free disk space on the content drive. Please
make more space available as soon as possible.

Event ID 11002 (Error)
WSUS is unable to connect to the database. See SoftwareDistribution.log
for more information.

Event ID 12000 (Information):
The Reporting Web Service is working correctly.

Event ID 12002 (Error):
The Reporting Web Service is not working.

Event ID 12010 (Information):
The API Remoting Web Service is working correctly.

Event ID 12012 (Error):
The API Remoting Web Service is not working.

Event ID 12022: (Error)
The Client Web Service is not working.

Event ID 12020 (Information):
The Client Web Service is working correctly.

Event ID 12032 (Error):
The Server Synchronization Web Service is not working.

Event ID 12030 (Information):
The Server Synchronization Web Service is working correctly.

Event ID 12042 (Error):
The SimpleAuth Web Service is not working.

Event ID 12040 (Information):
The SimpleAuth Web Service is working correctly.

Event ID 12052 (Error):
The DSS Authentication Web Service is not working.

Event ID 12050 (Information):
The DSS Authentication Web Service is working correctly.

Event ID 12072 (Error):
The WSUS content directory is not accessible.

Event ID 12070 (Information):
The WSUS content directory is accessible.


Event ID 13001 (Warning):
Client computers are installing updates with a higher than 10 percent
failure rate. This should be monitored.

Event ID 13000 (Information):
Client computers are installing updates with a lower than 10 percent
failure rate.

Event ID 13032 (Error):
Many client computers have not reported back to the server in the
last 30 days. 4 have been detected so far.

Event ID 13042 (Error):
Self-update is not working.

Event ID 13040 (Information):
Self-update is working.


Weiß hier vielleicht jemand, ob es Unterschiede gibt und wenn ja welche?
Gibt es vielleicht eine Quelle im Netz, auf der alle WSUS Events (Errors und Warnings) gelistet sind?

Ziel ist es, im Monitoringsystem für den WSUS vorab zu sehen, ob der WSUS den Clients die Updates richtig zur Verfügung stellen kann. Vielleicht hat jemand ja noch einen besseren Lösungsansatz, als die EventLogs auszulesen und dadurch Meldungen im Monitoring zu erzeugen.

Hallo,

Die ID's sind doch unabhaengig vom OS. Und kommen eher aus .NET mit angegebener Source.

Das hier stammt z.B. von einem SBS2003 mit WSUS :

Ich traue MS vieles zu. Aber dass die alle Nase lang die ID's wechseln, nicht.

genau die selbe Vermutung hatte ich auch, aber ich kann es nicht 100%tig sagen. Gibt es denn ab Server 2016 auch eine neue WSUS-Version, die mit den Serverrollen installiert wird?

Hallo,

Mir fehlt die Zeit einen 2016 zu evaluieren um zu sehen, welch genaue Version WSUS in dem steckt.
Ich gehe davon aus, das dort ein WSUS 4.0 drin steckt, denn von 5.0 ist "noch" keine Rede.

Ich blick da nicht mehr durch und im Netz gibt es nirgends eine verbindliche Info dazu -.-

Na klar gibt es den schon. Zumal der WSUS 3 SP2 EOL ist.
