Marvell 88E1116 unter Debian
Hallöchen,
ich hab folgendes Problem.
Hab heute Debian Etch auf nen Rechner installiert, doch leider erkennt Debain nicht den NIC.
Der Rechner hat ein P5B-E Board und als Netzwerk Chip nen Marvell 88E1116.
Das Modul forcedeth hinzuzufügen bringt auch nix (das war zumindest ne lösung wenn ich google frage).
Hat da zufällig jemand noch ne idee dazu?

mhhhh installiert zwar den treiber erfolgreich, aber erkennt die NIC trotzdem nicht.
Im BIOS mal geschaut ob die NIC Aktiviert ist ?

Es gibt da einen Trick wie du herausfinden kannst ob die Karte überhaupt unterstützt wird
und wie der Treiber genau heisst. Geh einfach auf http://kmuto.jp/debian/hcl/
Trage dort die betreffende Zeile welche du mit dem Befehl lspci -n herausfindest ins Feld ein.
z.B. 0000:02:00.0 0200: blaa:blaa (rev XX)
